Review | Tatcha Gentle Rice Enzyme Powder

A few years ago, San Francisco based company, Tatcha, was one of the first major brands to work with me, in my newbie blogger days. And ever since then I have been a devote consumer, while the items are definitely a splurge for me, they are amazing quality and my sensitive dry skin adores the skincare. In the last couple years I have gone through two of the Ritual Discovery Kits, mainly because of the Tatcha Gentle Rice Enzyme Powder sample packets. They. Are. Amazing! (My Skincare Journey)

Let's preface this review with my skin type, in case you are new to my website, I have very dry skin and very sensitive skin that reacts negatively to most skincare products I try; cleansers, scrubs, serums, creams, masks, etc. I'm prone to dry patches, flaking on really bad days, visible texture and enlarged pores.

The Tatcha Gentle Rice Enzyme Powder is exactly how it sounds, a fine powder of rice bran, papaya + HADASEI-3 Bioactive Complex. It turns into a luxurious silky lather when it touches water, and the enzymes are the magic pore cleansers. I like to splash my face with water, and have very wet hands when I put about a quarter size amount of powder in my palm. I'll then gently rub my palms together to get a paste-like texture on both hands, and begin to massage my face. If my skin is really bad, I'll let it sit on my skin for a few more seconds like a mask almost, before thoroughly rinsing off with water.

No matter how good or bad my skin is looking, when I use the Tatcha Gentle Rice Enzyme Powder, it always leaves my skin feeling smooth, looking brighter, and feeling balanced all day. I have also noticed that regular use will keep my pores tighter and prettier. I probably use this powder 2-4 times a week, and every other day if I'm traveling. It really is magical and I have recommend it to so many of my friends. It took me a long time to settle on buying the full size because it is $65.00 (2.1 oz), and that was such a splurge, but honestly, when I don't use the Enzyme Powder on a regular basis, my skin just doesn't look as perfect as it can.

Nowadays, I can confidently say this is a staple in my regimen, and I forever see myself repurchasing it. I'm actually thinking about getting all the other versions sometime in my life because it would be nice to have them on hand for those times I need to remedy my skin from trying numerous products (sacrifices of a beauty blogger).
