Review | Anastasia Self-Made Eyeshadow Palette

A few weeks ago I bought the Anastasia Beverly Hills Self-Made Eyeshadow Palette ($35.00), mainly because I LOVED the World Traveler Palette so much, I was immediately drawn to the array of colors and textures in this new palette. The ABH eye shadows have a rich quality that I am obsessed with - so much so, that I've debated on buying their single shadows this year. They are smooth to the touch, pick up a lot of color, and they blend so easy and consistent.
"This palette features 14 shades - ranging from a neutral taupe to obsidian black - that deliver intense color so you can create an endless array of custom looks."

I saw a few other reviews on Instagram where people mentioned you can use the Self-Made palette in its entirety, or you can block up individual quadrants and create looks in that style. I was very intrigued by this because essentially you can say you're getting 6 quads in one palette! That could be a great deal for a makeup beginner, or collector ;)

The shadows in the palette:
Pink Champagne - rose gold titanium
Metallic Plum - dark plum metallic
Self-Made - deep bronze satin
Witchy - khaki gray sparkle
Blush - light beige duo-chrome pink
Blossom - lilac pink metallic
Buttery - beige ultra-matte
Deep Purple - amethyst purple titanium
Treasure - ultralight champagne metallic
Hot & Cold - rum brown metallic
Sherbert - ultralight peach velvet
Isla - foam green duo-chrome gold
Spirit Rock - galaxy black sparkle
Hot Chocolate - rich cocoa brown ultra-matte

The first quadrant look I tried was using Witchy, Blush, Sherbert, and Isla. I really like how the look turned out, and I glad I tried these four shades together because I probably would have never tried this look on my own.

The second quadrant look I tried was using Metallic Plum, Self-Made, Treasure, Hot & Cold. Holy Guacamole I LOVE this look!! I think these four shades are perfect all together, and I definitely want to rewear this look many times this year.

Overall, I have worn this palette numerous times, and often I like to work from both the Self-Made palette and the World Traveler palette - the two collections of eyeshadows compliment each other very nicely. I can't really say which shades are my top favorites, I have used them all and enjoy them all.
