Review | IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream SPF 50+

[press samples]

Are you ready to see a CC Cream unlike any other CC Cream out there? This is the IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream SPF 50+ ($38.00), also labelled as "Full Coverage Color Correcting Cream, Anti-Aging serum, plus Broad Spectrum Physical Only SPF 50+ all in one!" whew! It wouldn't be an IT Cosmetics product if the title wasn't a mouthful ;) At least they are honest in telling you exactly what you'll get from the product: full coverage, lightweight, moisturizing, and sun protection.

IT Cosmetics has somehow invented a CC Cream, aka Color Correcting Cream, that not only feels as light as a cc cream, but also looks like skin. Usually "full coverage" products enhance my dry skin and texture issues, but the Your Skin But Better CC Cream is exactly as perfecting as its name implies. While covering almost all my redness and blemish marks and discoloration, my skin always looks like skin, even more so when I set it with their Bye Bye Pores Translucent Finishing Powder. Absolutely flawless and smooth finish, without settling in to fine lines, or accentuating textures on the skin.

The main reason why I love this product, aside from the perfect formula, is the fact that the SPF 50+ does not irritate my sensitive skin. Most SPF makeup products turn my chin and cheeks bright red, with noticeable inflammation - which turns into scaly dry skin that takes a week to heal. Maybe it is the "SPF 50+ UVA/UVB Physical only sunscreen" or the hydrating combination of "Anti-Aging Peptides, Niacin, Algae, Vitamins A, C, B, E, Hyaluronic Acid and Hydrolyzed Collagen along with Antioxidants and exotic natural botanicals for long-term brightening and color-correcting benefits". Whatever it is that makes this formula safe for sensitive skin, I appreciate it! This is one of the only sunscreen products that I can tolerate, so you know that when I leave the house for outdoor fun this season, I'll be relying on this CC Cream to keep my skin protected and moisturized.

Here are some images of my reddened face, courtesy of a bad skincare trial, before, during, and after using the IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream SPF 50+. I combined the shades Light and Medium to match my skintone.

While the range of CC Cream looks pretty promising, keep in mind that this is a full coverage product, so if you are in between shades, you'll need to buy two shades to custom mix - OR you can purchase the lighter shade and use a face powder to bring it down to your true skintone. For a product so amazing, I really hope they expand the shades because I think this formula would work for most skin types, young and mature, but I can see how many people won't be able to find a shade to match them.
