Blog #8 - Macrame + New Vlogs + Lifestyle

Hello hello! :) Happy Spring! I hope everyone had a great beginning of the new season. I’m fully in love with the freshness of the shift in the air. Each new cycle brings release and creation, and having full presence in that state of mind is freeing and wondrous.

I’ve been busy this first quarter of the year. From the start of 2026 I’ve been dedicated to an art project of upgrading my macrame fiber art creations and inventory of products to offer on my website. I now have 3 new core designs with a couple color options to pick from, as well as my old stock I made years ago - some of the products I removed from sale because I’m decorating my home with them and not ready to let them go haha!

"Alma" Macrame Wall Hanging
$140.00

Handcrafted fiber art wall hanging.

The “Alma” design is a medium size, 10 inch width, 30 inch length when hanging. This macrame is recreated from an ancient pattern, it took many hours to figure out from an old fuzzy photo, and many practice pieces to fine tune the details - so worth it! (This is my personal favorite design, I have 2 of them in my home!)

There are two color variations available:

  • Desert Dusk is a cool neutral gradient theme

  • Rainbow Refresh is a fun take on a classic colorful theme

Interested in a custom commission? Please contact me and we can work together on an art piece that fits you perfectly!

I’ve also dusted off my YouTube channel and uploaded a couple of art studio vlogs that I filmed while working on these macrame wall hangings. They were fun to film, but not fun to edit - I learned I’m very chatty when I’m excited about things hahaha! I plan to film more vlogs in my art studio, in fact, I’ll be starting my next art project soon and I’m really looking forward to drawing, coloring, and painting. Hopefully I can figure out some fun shots, I find it challenging to remember to film, and then create an angle that I like. I’m honestly so thrilled to be focusing on YouTube after almost a decade retired from video-making. After years of Instagram, Tiktok, and Twitch - it just seems nice to slow down and get away from instant internet connection. Anyways, here’s my channel if you’d like to watch my vlogs or even subscribe and get updates when I upload new videos.

OH! In my personal life, I’m now a sourdough baker - and baker of all things I can make from my sourdough starter! It has been a rewarding experience. I’ve been baking regular loaves, inclusion loaves, sandwich loaves, and then copious amounts of treats like brownies, cinnamon rolls, cookies, danishes, biscuits, pizza, and crackers. It’s really funny how much you can make at home and then how much you don’t buy at the store anymore :) Some things I want to learn to bake next: rye bread, cake, and english muffins.

Ooo also, I’ve been reading books again! I’m literally sooo grateful to have the patience and focus to enjoy reading as a hobby. I used to read dozens of books of a year, years ago, and now that my life is peaceful, that passion is back and I’m making healthy time for it. I’m currently reading “Home Cooking: A Writer in the Kitchen” by Laurie Colwin, this book has been pretty fun, makes me miss the old years of picking up magazines and reading articles on food, home, decor, and lifestyle from some random lady you don’t know, but somehow feel familiar with.

Here’s what I’ve finished this year so far, just a couple of reads:

“The Everlasting” by Alix E. Harrow

(Chestnut Springs #1) “Flawless” by Elsie Silver

When I finish Home Cooking, I plan to reread the Sarah J Maas books in preparation for her new book release this Fall. I haven’t read them in such a long time, so I’m really looking forward to revisiting the characters, worlds, and moments <3

That’s about everything so far - focused, productive, present, creating 💖💖💖
